Getting Started ...This is all new to you
Learn to Knit with Kristin $45 If you want to learn to knit or just need a refresher course, this class is for you! Off and Running …You’re confident with the basics
Sockitecture 101 with Bob $45 Using Cat Bordhi’s recent book, New Pathways for Sock Knitters Book 1, Bob will lead you through the two “socks for learning” and help you to understand the ideas and terminology contained in Ms. Bordhi’s interesting method of sock construction. -Saturdays (September 20, 27, Oct. 4) 1:00-3:00pm Knitting Lace Triangles with Bob $45 Evelyn Clark’s Knitting Lace Triangles was the book that helped Bob to take the step from “knitting lace” to “understanding lace”. Bob will help you to understand the terminology and techniques used in the book as well as get you started on your first lace triangle that can be used as a neck scarf or expanded into a full size lace shawl. -Tuesdays (September 30, Oct. 7 and 14) 6:30-8:30pm -Saturdays ( October 18, 25) 10:30-12:30pm and (November 1) 1:00-3:00pm Moebius Cowl with Kristin $30 Learn the art and science behind this beautiful cowl designed by Cat Bordhi. You will learn the Moebius cast-on which makes this stylish neck-warmer so unique. -Sundays (October 12 and 19) 10:00-12:00pm Amigurumi Toy Workshop with Natalie $45 Amigurumi is the Japanese craft of creating cute little crochet creatures. Learn how to design and make your own amigurumi toys! Learn how to select materials and novelties for embellishment, as well as how to crochet a basic doll shape. You’ll learn how to interpret and use Japanese amigurumi patterns, and apply basic crochet techniques to shaping crochet objects to design unique toys. Amigurumi toys are quick to make, and they’re terrific stocking stuffers or holiday gifts! Basic crochet skills required. -Saturdays (November 1, 8 and 15) 10:30-12:30pm Entrelac 101 with Cheri $30 Come and discover the joys of entrelac, a knit fabric that looks woven. In the first class we’ll learn the technique, as well as tricks to make it easy and more enjoyable. We’ll also discuss possible first projects. In the second class, we’ll start on a project of your choice! -Sundays (October 26 and November 2) 2:00-4:00pm Beginner Socks with Cheri $45 Turn heel? Shape gusset? Unlock the mysteries of sock making in this class. Conquer your fear of double pointed needles while using a worsted weight yarn, which knits up quickly into a beautiful sock! -Wednesdays (October 15, 22 and 29) 6:30-8:00pm Students receive 10% OFF all purchases one week before class begins through the last day of class	Horseshoe Lace Scarf with Kristin $30 Knit this lacy and stylish scarf; the perfect accessory for all seasons. This is an ideal project for “first-time” lace knitters. This class builds on basic knitting and purling skills. -Sundays (September 21 and October 5) 10:00-12:00pm Odessa Beaded Hat with Elaine $37.50 Learn bead knitting with this simple and lovely hat project. We will be knitting in the round, using both increases and decreases; and will be adding rows of beads to the swirling pattern of ribs. The basic technique for bead knitting can be used in any other pattern to which you want to add a touch of glitter with beads. -Saturdays (October 11) 1:00-4:00pm and (October 18) 1:00-3:00pm Double Knitting with Kristin $30 In this class, we will be knitting a sophisticated argyle-patterned scarf. It is knit using the double knitting technique, which makes it reversible without stranding, curling, or other problems you tend to run into when working with two colors. You’ll love the result! An exact “negative” image shows up on the back side. This scarf is double thick and double amazing! -Sundays (November 2 and 16) 4:00-6:00pm Fake Isle Hat with LaVon $30 Put a little color in your projects by learning the basics of two color knitting. Learn to read a color chart while knitting this simple two color hat. The color possibilities are endless. Not Fair Isle, it’s Fake Isle! Learn some new techniques while making a fabulous hat or two! -Tuesdays (November 11 and 18) 6:30-8:30pm Felted Clogs with Kristin $45 Warm up your tootsies with these fabulous felted clogs. Learn to M1, wrap and turn, pick up stitches and so much more! You’ll learn the tips and tricks to reading and following this pattern. -Mondays (November 10, 17 and 24) 6:30-8:30pm Chunky Cabled Scarf with Kristin $30 This sophisticated cabled scarf is both fast and easy. It’s also a fun and manageable way to learn cables. Using super bulky yarn, Kristin teaches you a basic braided cable. You CAN do this! -Sundays (November 9 and 23) 2:00-4:00pm Back to top of page

Knitting 911 Workshop with Cheri $25 Learn basic techniques to help you fix your boo-boos, and possibly prevent them! We’ll learn how to pick up dropped stitches, un-knit, and recognize what’s gone wrong and how to fix it. You’ll gain confidence as we practice on swatches in class. -Sunday (October 19) 2:00-4:00pm
Beaded Stitch Markers with LaVon $28 Everyone needs a little sparkle in their knitting bag. Learn how to use beads, charms and wire to create your own beautifully handcrafted beaded stitch markers. Bring your imagination and needle-nose pliers, and create 5 stitch markers to brighten up your knitting! All other tools and beads will be provided. -Sunday (December 7) 2:00-4:00pm Back to top of page	Needle Felting with Elaine $30 Come learn needle felting; a fun and easy way to use unspun fiber and special needles to sculpt, embellish and create. No previous crafting experience needed! You can add special touches to your knit and felted items, or make 3-dimensional objects to use as jewelry, ornaments or gifts. Class fee includes a needle felting starter kit with needles and foam block. Materials fee of $5 payable to instructor for a bag of brightly colored wool roving. (More available for purchase in class, if you wish.) -Saturday (October 4) 1:00-3:00pm -Saturday (November 15) 1:00-3:00pm

You can withdraw from a class at least 7 days before the class begins;
you’ll receive store credit toward another class.
Unless otherwise noted, materials are not included in class fee.
There is a material’s list for each class.

The Really Fine Print:
Knitting contains 0 carbs, calories or fat. Check with your doctor before you begin a serious exercise program. Knitting has few dangerous side effects; but has been the cause of isolated mini-riots in certain California-based adult assisted living communities. Knitting can be habit forming and has been found to be addictive for certain individuals. If you have knitting sessions that last over 4 hours, consult your doctor; or local fiber specialist immediately.

Knitting is not based on chance. Classes greatly increase skill. Knitting is for entertainment only and should not be utilized for investment purposes.
Knit Responsibly. Don’t Knit and Drive.

Unattended children will be given an espresso, felting needle and a dozen balloons.
